This writing is so exquisite, Alison. Especially the illustration on “highlighting for deletion”. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about old operating systems and how uncomfortable those old things can feel when we’ve been doing the work — being true to ourselves and holding ourselves accountable — to be living on our own system upgrade. It’s so triggering then to butt against the old ways and our bodies/spirits/hearts/intuition, gently yet emphatically remind us that we don’t live that way anymore.
